Olton Chess Club Home Page

Olton Chess Club has been in existence since 1944 and is one of the larger and most successful chess clubs in the Birmingham area. It meets every Monday from 7.00pm at Langley Hall Social Club, rear of 40 Langley Hall Road, Solihull, B92 7HE.

Club Profile

Olton Chess Club has three teams in the Birmingham & District Chess League, plus three teams in the Leamington & District Chess League.

Langley Hall Social Club provides Olton Chess Club with a high-quality venue for the purposes of playing chess and social activities. The Chess club is run by a committee consisting of five annually elected officers, the Club Life-President, plus captains of the various teams.

Overall, we feel that we cater for players of all strengths and can offer help to those just starting out in the game, or thinking of doing so. We offer a friendly atmosphere in the pleasant surroundings at Langley Hall Social Club.
